The MetaEfficient Aeroponics Test Laboratory

I am growing rare herbs and other plants using the Aerogarden system. This simple system incorporates elements of both aeroponics and hydroponics.

Aeroponics is a technique where the plant roots hang in the air and are misted with a fertilizer solution or water. This is slightly different than hydroponics, where the plant roots are continuously immersed in a nutrient-dense solution.

As I demonstration, I will be growing the following:

  • A selection of red and purple heirloom lettuces
  • A selection of rare Japanese and Thai greens
  • A selection of “sensational” plants: electric daises, serendipity berries and miracle plants
