MetaEfficient Aerogarden Test Laboratory Update

Almost all growers agree that the most reliable way to grow plants from seed is to use a hydroponic device like an Aerogarden Harvest.

These devices provide a reliable growing environment where almost any seed can be sprouted. Most seeds sprout in 2 to 7 days and will be ready for harvesting in 3 to 6 weeks. The plants will keep producing continuous harvests for six months to a year.

Aerogarden grow sponges are made from Canadian sphagnum peat. They provide a moist, aerated growing medium for the seedlings. The oxygenated water in the Aerogardens helps the plants to grow quickly.

Herbs and small vegetables can spend their entire lifecycle in an Aerogarden. It is also possible to grow larger plants (over 12″ in height) in an Aerogarden, but you’ll want to transfer the plants to some soil before they become too big.

I’m currently growing these herbs in the Aerogarden test laboratory:

  • Holy Ghost Angelica
  • Obedient Plant
  • St John’s Wort
