These are the easiest microgreens to germinate and sprout:
- Radishes (7 – 15 Days)
- Turnips (10 – 15 Days)
- Napa Cabbage (10 – 15 Days)
- Red Acre Cabbage (10 – 15 Days)
- Pak Choi (10 – 15 Days)
- Tokyo Bekana (10 – 15 days)
- Broccoli (10 – 15 days)
- Sesame (10 – 15 Days)
- Cress (10 – 15 Days)
- Lettuces (8 – 12 Days)
- Komatsuna (10 – 15 Days)
- Mustard (10 – 15 days)
These microgreens are a bit more difficult to grow but highly recommended:
- Cilantro (16 – 25 Days)
- Basil (16 – 25 Days)
- Thai basil (16 – 25 Days)
- Sorrel (26 – 30 Days)
- Beet and chard (16 – 25 Days)
- Carrot (16 – 25 Days)

Peter Burke, author of Year-Round Indoor Salad Gardening: How to Grow Nutrient-Dense, Soil-Sprouted Greens in Less Than 10 days, has his own favorite microgreen list, namely:
- Black oil sunflower
- Common buckwheat lettuce
- Snow pea shoots
- Daikon radish
- Broccoli, the Cole Family, and Asian Cousins
