I ride a well used,leather Brooks saddle all year round in Manchester, England which has more rainy days than anywhere else I’ve lived, often leaving the bike locked out in the rain for long periods and your comment about not being able to get a Brooks saddle wet is simply wrong. I’ve had that saddle for 10 years and I wasn’t the first owner and with regular basic maintenance, proofide , tension adjustment etc it has coped perfectly with all that inclement weather and heavy use has thrown at it.

after reading your review about the B17 narrow i am but sorry to say that this saddle is not for me.
bought it 3 months ago and after about 820 km (500 miles) i got fed up and put it back in the box !
from start to finish the saddle never gave an inch and kept on attacking my behind in a ferocious manner..
i could tweak it time and again but in vain.

last week i purchased the new Brooks Cambium carved C17 and and now i have a saddle wich i love dearly already.
the difference is stunning, comfortable and i don’t even remember sitting on a saddle.
