The TidalForce E-Bike is a powerful motor-assisted mountain bike. Originally developed for the U.S. Airforce, the bike has rugged body and folds down to 18″ x 42″ x 36″ (with the front wheel removed).

The bike is powered by a WaveCrest Adaptive Motor system integrated in the hub of the rear wheel. The motor efficiently delivers about 1.0 horsepower with no emissions.
The rider controls the bike’s speed with a thumb throttle located on the handlebars. A control panel adjacent to the handlebar stem features a battery state-of-charge indicator, system status indicator lights and actuator buttons for the “Cruise Control” and “Normal/Turbo” modes.
Top speed: 20 mph
Range: 15-30 miles (30 requires extra battery)
Charging Time: 3-6 hours

From the site:
“Gross Payload: 350 lbs (160 kg)”.
I don’t think that’s the bike weight. Sure hope it’s not, for their sake!
Maybe they mean ‘maximum bike and passenger combined weight’?
Payload means the amount a vehicle can carry. They probably say “Gross Payload” to clarify that it means the rider plus all panniers, etc.
This bike now represents one of the biggest tragedies in electric personal transportation.
Only a short while after introducing the M-750X (higher powered version of this bike), Wavecrest recently announced they were giving up. They were having too hard a time of selling electric bikes in the US (where roads and communities are just not set up for anything smaller than a car) and decided to throw in the towel.
If you can find a Tidalforce still for sale, buy it. There may not be a product of comparable quality and capability available for purchase for decades to come.
Tidalforce is selling a bike that has inferior range and power to most aftermarket builds, and costs roughly twice as much.
While it certainly looks pretty, that only gives them 1/4. It’s not the lack of people buying e-bikes that drove them out, it’s the competition.

I have a 750-x. love it . best thing anyone ever given me. wow says it all.
This bike has a lot going for it. It’s sexy and sophisticated. And like many things in this life that fit that description, it’s also expensive. Actually, it’s VERY expensive.
If you must have this bike, I have 2 x M-750′s and 2 x S-750′s for sale. They are very lightly used, but need replacement batteries. I plan on replacing the front wheel, if they don’t sell, with a regular bike wheel and using LiFePo4 battery for twice the range and less weight.

A really nice feature is that it automatically limits your speed to the legal 21mp.
Having travelled over 50mph on electric bicycles, it’s the traffic not the lawmen I want to worry about.
